Mental Riot Rocking Out

Mental Riot is an alternative indie band formed to create a unique blend of sounds that resonate with our audience. We are a trio of teens who love to rock out and have a lot of fun on our music journey. Having played at various venues around the Quad Cities Area, we are excited about our upcoming shows and live performances. We hope you join us for some good music and good times! About Mental Riot

Mental Riot is an alternative indie three-piece band hailing from the Quad Cities area. Guitarist Jack Morrow and bassist Cadriel Anderson first played together at Common Chord's Kidstock summer camp in 2023. They immediately bonded over their love for rock music and began their music journey by writing together regularly. Later that fall, after joining another group through QC Music Therapy, they met drummer Catherine Hamlette, and the chemistry was instant, forming an incredible power trio under the guidance of their mentors.


Eager to enhance their live performances, Mental Riot transitioned to QC Rock Academy (QCRA) in the fall of 2024 to collaborate with owner/instructor Greg Hipskind. By combining their creative ideas, skills, and talents, the band has become known for their high-energy shows and genuine chemistry both on and off stage, along with a deep appreciation for various music styles and artists.


In their short history, Mental Riot has graced both big and small QC stages, performing at events like Oktoberfest, Schwiebert Park, Rascals, The Sound Conservatory, Stardust, and The Rust Belt. Their mix of original works and covers unites the audience for an unforgettable musical experience. This up-and-coming teen band is definitely one to watch as they continue to gain momentum with their upcoming shows in the QC and beyond.
